Registrations are now open for the 2018 District Pastors’ Conference (Tuesday 29 May – Friday 1 June). Pastors’ Conference will commence this year with a fellowship meal on the Tuesday evening and end after lunch on Friday.

PastorsConf2018Map-480The Planning Committee has booked accommodation at the conference venue, Oceans Resort and Spa, Hervey Bay – 571 Charlton Esplanade, Urangan, in comfortable and modern 2 and 3-bedroom apartments.

The conference costs are inclusive of everything except travel to and from Hervey Bay: $670 (pastor, active service) and $605 (emeriti). Wives are welcome to come along for an additional cost of $290 (inclusive of accommodation and meals). To make the conference more affordable to emeriti, we are making the conference available for retired pastors who would like to organise their own accommodation for $290 (inclusive of conference costs and all meals, but no accommodation) and their wives for an additional $290 (inclusive of all meals, but no accommodation). This is for emeriti only and we ask that all pastors in active ministry, stay at Oceans for the duration of the conference.

The Planning Committee is currently putting together a program that responds to the feedback given by pastors through our recent survey. This conference is an especially significant one, as we will also conduct a nominating ballot for the position of Bishop of the District. All LCAQD pastors who are in active ministry are asked to attend. If you would like to bring your children and/or if you would like to arrive prior to Tuesday 29 May or leave after Friday 1 June, please contact Oceans directly after registering, contact Yun Bai, Conference Manager and Assistant Room Division Manager, Oceans Resort and Spa, This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
